The Carinthian company "ilogs" has developed a new software product: A safety watch with the integrated e-health system called "JAMES" for the care of elderly people. The main function of the watch is to send a signal in case of an emergency so that help will come as soon as possible.
The emergency contact can be either a family member or a hospital in case of a more serious problem. For faster assistance, the location is also shared. The tele-care system of the ilogs group is currently used by 100 people in Carinthia. The safety watch also regularly transmits data such as weight and blood pressure directly to a care center, where a responsible nurse is notified if certain values are abnormal.
With these innovations in the health sector, the company has established itself as the "world market leader". The head office is in Klagenfurt, but with locations in Vienna, France, England and the USA, this Carinthian company has a turnover of 10 million euros per year. A new project is particularly close to the heart of managing director Walter Johann Liebhart: "Many people recognise too high blood pressure too late". Therefore, a new version of the safety watch is currently being tested in Poland. Three million people will be equipped with the device, which is intended to detect problems early.
